I have the Accufab TB/plenum and a K&N CAI. After I added the Accufab, it makes a whisle that starts just under 3000 rpms. I checked all my lines and everything multiple times.

...AND I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!!! HERES MY STORY...MY OEM MANIFOLD CRACKED IN THE COMMON PLACE...SO I HAD TO REPLACE IT, IT SOUNDED FINE THEN...WHEN I INSTALLED EVERYTHING BACK WITH THE NEW MANIFOLD, AFTER I CRANKED IT UP, I COULD HEAR THE WHISTLING NOISE SIMILAR TO WHAT U GUYS ARE HEARING, PRETTY LOUD TOO, BUT IM THINKING IT IS INCREASED AIR-FLOW, IF NOT, I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS...BUT THE CAR RUNS FINE...IF U GUYS HAVE ANY SOLUTIONS...LEMME KNOW...BUT I DO KINDA LIKE IT....PEACE OUT

its funny you guys mention this, b/c I notice the same noise from my '96...it almost sounds like a turbocharger or something, I kinda like it...I figure its coming from the speakers somehow, but its not the usual "whistle" you get from interference / bad wiring....its definately something unique to this car (and a lot of other mustangs apparently)

Mine just started to do that on the way home from work today. But I think mine is different. Mine is coming from my shifter. I haven't taken a look yet, but I imagine a boot is ripped somewhere. Mine whistles with RPM's too, so maybe you guys should take a look at that. It may be a quick fix like mine.

are you guys saying that its a loud whistle noise? or what?
do you hear it at IDLE? or only when driving? EXPLAIN WITH SOME MORE DETAIL.
