Installed TB and Plenum

Installed TB and Plenum
Just giving the followup on "Modding Season II". My Accufab TB and C&L Plenum arrived not too long ago. I was going to install it WITH the densecharger full length and Pro-M...but those aren't going to be here for another week [:@]
Well, I got impatient and went ahead and installed the TB and Plenum anyway. Pulling off the little rubber hoses was a breeze! Bolting the actual plenum off was not too hard...it was the damn throttle positioning sensor and that fuel drum on the azz end of the plenum that was being a B*TCH!
Unfortunately the MAC CAI stayed in the whole time while running the car with the new install... I was thinking of re-installing the stock air intake, but I don't have a K&N filter (and no, the filter off the MAC CAI won't fit the stock!). But let me say WOW! The throttle response is immediate! I am noticing lot's and lot's of mid to high range gains! I think maybe 5-6 hp at least. It's like driving in a real cold day when it's actually 100 % humidity outside! I think I did lose some low end though...I am using the 75mm tb. An article ran my exact setup and showed that the 70 and 75 mm produce the same results...but when both TUNED, the 75 mm beat the 70.
I'll let you guys know what it's like when I get the full length densecharger and Pro-M in. I think the Pro-M comes calibrated so I should get a nice increase when I rip that MAC CAI out...and throw it in the trash.....or ebay.

RE: Installed TB and Plenum
Well given you have all the tools handy (which I didn't cause I had to BUY some), it would've only taken me an hour.
I attached my accufab TB to the Plenum (uses 4 hex bolts) BEFORE I put it in. I also lifted the stock TB and Plenum still connected...that'll save you lots of time. Disconnecting the hoses and the wire connectors was cake.
It was the Throttle Positioning Sensor (on the side of the TB) that was ALL HELL to get loose. I thought I was going to have to grind a notch into each bolt to get a flathead in there, but turns out they came out with the phillips head. ALSO, the black drum behind the Plenum (with one normal bolt and one WIERD bolt) was pretty hard because that wierd bolt is SO hard to get to. But the whole process only took but an hour. I'm sure someone with more experience under the hood can pop that thing off and throw the new one on in 20 minutes.

RE: Installed TB and Plenum
I can get a stock throttle body to flow as well as a most 700 units, with more air velocity to boot (P&P + blueprint) - same thing goes for a stock plenum, I make a stock plenum flow perfectly for a 70mm throttle body, bore matched perfectly.
