Well as most of you guys know i was very excited about getting a 98 camaro a few days ago. Well i got a chance to get the car up on a rack and saw why she was soo cheap. She looked real nice from far away and she drove nicely, although she pulled 2 one side. But when she was up in the air i saw that she had some minor front end damage, and the car was basically been beaten to hell. There was rust on the front seat tracks which lead me to believe that the car may have had some flood damage. The entior motor had been recently steam cleaned looked new but she really showed her age on the ignition switch. The car was listed with 55k but im guessing that she had more miles. Most of the body pannels had either had sh!tty body work done or were replaced, there was overspray on the door jams. Oh well my search continunes. But i do have a lead on a stripped down untra base verson that includes no power locks, no power windows, and a M6 tranny with upgraded gears.

she looked real nice because the car had been hevely detailed before. But when i actually ran my fingers over the seams in borad daylight none (at least most) of the pannels were strait. Which is kinda funny because i asked the dealer, i talked to the same salesman, he ownes a operates the dealership, 3 times if the car had anykind of body work done. All 3 times he responded no. So i returned the car and said i think ill keep looking.

Yeah the dealership was a complete dive. Run by a guy and his brother where they basically buy cars and then try to sell em on the internet due to his crappy location.

j/k Good thing you checked it out real good. I NEVER buy from any type of dealership that looks even slightly shady. If it's not a well known dealer, then forget it. Good luck in your continued search.

yeah when i heard about the forged block i **** my pants.

But yeah i think my bosses camaro will run you, LT1 fully forged rotating assembly, supercharged, and big shot of gas. 650+rwph.

Oh well im really likeing this 02 z28, called the police model, basically no conviences. No traction control, just lighweight and loads of power.

Yeah that might do it, lol. I've got to tweak some things on mine since I got it back. But other than that it runs pretty good. No foot to the floor yet. I've got 900 miles left, lol.

wow, you must have some will power, becuase i know i wouldnt last another 900 miles without beating on her. Good luck, and he has soo much money in that car he stoped counting at 30k. And i know urs is a show car, hes running into the 9's, on a big enougt shot.
