Default Porter Cable?

I have heard alot about the Porter Cable. Is it really necessary to have one if your serious about detailing or does it just make the job easier and faster? Also what do you guys use/recommend?

A porter cable will remove scratches and produce a better shine. You can get a lot better results with it than by hand. It is very safe to use also. It is very popular on all the detail forums. It is really worth the investment.
