ORIGINAL: gt96stang
ORIGINAL: andrewclarkya it slows down ur accessory belts like the AC. which should give you maybe 3-7hp more.
What accessory belts?? Mustangs come with 1 serpentine belt... But it slows down the Alternator, water pump, and crank... Which would be the 3 pulleys that come in the kit. They do help, seemed to me like it helped the motor rev a bit faster.
Doesn't slow down the crank. The crank pulley is a smaller diameter than stock so as it makes 1 revolution the belt would travel less thus slowing the accessories. Then the alternator and water pump pulleys are larger than stock which further slows those 2 down. I read they have shown 5HP on the dyno. I suppose with a 2v everything helps. I can't say I felt them but I hope they helped in the total of my mods. Mark

I like dealing with www.brenspeed.com and he sells STEEDA's for $179. to $199. depending if they are on sale. Shipping is free. I did the STEEDA TIMING ADJUSTER at the same time and that is the best mod for the buck. I added 6* on top of the Predator tune I had at the time. It adds timing across the rpm range and not just at WOT so besides more power you get better part throttle response and gas mileage. I am not using my timing adjuster now since I finished my mods and got a custom tune SCT from Brenspeed so if anyone is interested PM me! Thanks, mark
