Default Eibach Prokit

If I put on a Eibach Prokit on my 96 GT Vert will it be too low? I thought the springs on a Vert were much stiffer. Would this work on a 96 GT Vert?

Thanks,

Rob

verts are alittle heavier so they drop more...i have steeda sport springs on mine and the ride and drop are great but it is alittle low for daily driving. It it were my everyday car i'd go with the Bullit suspension kit which drops the car about an inch all around.

I was afraid of that. My car is a daily driver so I don't want it to ride too low. I guess I'll go a different route.

Thanks,

Rob

I was just thinking of how my car sits way to high yesterday. I really need an Eibach kit, but I hear they are pretty pricey to install. How much did you all pay to get your springs put on?

$249 for the kit, $90 for a spring compressor (I had the wrong type), a few hours wrenching on your car -- priceless.

I don't have time to do it myself. How much to have a shop do it?

The ProKit lowered my '02 GT vert about 1 1/4", just as advertised. That was the right amount of drop for my Daily Driver. You still have to be careful with speed bumps, especially if you have made changes to the exhaust system, which may hang a little lower than stock.

I found some good instructions with photos somewhere on the internet. They were very helpful, but sorry, I didn't keep the site address. Installing them yourself is probably a full day job for most people. Enlist some help! I needed to get spring compressors. I got them from Auto Zone and ended up buying them because I had to shorten them to make them fit. If you can find the time to do it yourself... do it. It gives you a chance to check the suspension yourself and clean and paint the brake calipers. You will save some bucks and feel really good when done.

cost me $200 for install and 50 for alignment...which i actually didn't need because they put everything back right...i'd do shocks and struts at the same time so you don't have to pay two install charges
