Looking for 3" exhaust components for 2001 GT
Folks,
I've been looking around this site, and the internet as a whole to find 3" exhaust components for a 2001 GT without much luck. Would someone be so kind as to point me in the correct direction?
thanks,
Dave

RE: Looking for 3" exhaust components for 2001 GT
I'm pricing at the moment ... I'll be building a motor in the spring and as I'm not independently wealthy, I have to put a budget together.
My plan is to jumpstart the build with a Coast High Performance short block. I don't have all the micrometers or easy access to a machine shop that I trust at the moment. I will be running forced induction (supercharger) and eventually there will be 2-stage nitrous. The exhaust is for the built motor, not the current stock motor.
The current engine is questionable in regards to scheduled maintanence having been done on it in the past 3 years. I am hesitant to do anything to that engine that will increase strain on the components and seals. So, at the moment, I'm actively working on upgrading the suspension. I've got bilsteins shocks and struts, Eiback prokit springs, and a number of ancilliary components (caster/camber, ball joints, et cetera) on order.
I had seen references to 3" exhaust components from MAC, but I haven't been able to find any prices or listings for them online (in terms of purchasing). Do you happen to know where I might them?
Thanks for watching out for me, in terms of warning me that I might be doing the wrong thing ... I do appreciate it.
best regards,
dave

Im pretty sure the MAC 3" is only for the 03/04 cobra. You dont need a 3". 2 1/2" is plenty big for your car. You can actually lose power by going to the three inch.

If he wants a 3 inch, he will have to go custom. There isnt a 3" on the market for an 01 GT, whether its stock or completely rebuilt.
