Default Steeda and Maximum Motorsports subframes

I've pretty much decided on either the Steeda or Maximum Motorsports subframes. Need some input on the differences between the two. Are both weld-in only (no bolts)?

In a couple of threads it was mentioned that there is less welding with the Steedas. Is that necessarily an advantage? Also, should I be concerned about my carpet burning when either of the two is welded in? Any other thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.
