I used to use MOBIL 1 for years...........Then I used Royal Purple in a 2002 WS-6 I used to own.........

I have dynoed the ls1 with Mobil 1 and then with the royal purple....I gained 5 RWH and 7 RWT SAE........Also, gaine 2 MPG on Average

Now that I own 2 mustangs I have gone with royal purple in them too. You will find people who will say one is better than the other. For me both work well, But I wanted one that would give me the best of both worlds, Protection and performance.

On a side Note Royal Purple was voted 1 of the top 10 Budget Mods for 2006 in GH High performance Mag!
