I was gonna get them but they don't come in 225/55/16 which is what I'm looking for. Anyone know anything about the Dunlop 3Ds? I think they are very similar to the M3s but am not sure.

I am having a hard time trying to decide on which winter tires to get and also can't decide whether or not to sacrifice some snow and ice traction for dry and wet handling. As for the performance winter I would most likely go with the Dunlop M3 or Bridgestone LM-25, with the studless ice and snow it would be either the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50 or Michelin X-Ice. Obviously these two categories are different and I would like everyone's opinion on this. I live in MA and we get a lot of snow but usually the roads get cleaned off within a few hours of the snow fall so it's not like we have snow all winter long. Also if anyone has any different recommendations on WINTER tires that would be great. Thanks
Just replied to your other post on the same topic. Basically, I said go for the Blizzaks and forget the X-Ice Michelins. Tried both. Blizzaks are the best ever winter tires in my mind.

If you want something fairly normal looking that is a winter tire, I have heard good things about the Hankook Ice Bears. That being said, I had 17" wheels on my Mazda 3s and it did horrible with the RSA's on it. I put on Blizzaks that were were 215/55/17 instead of 205/50/17, because they didnt have the stock size. Man, it was night and day. I had the more aggressive blizzaks, but I could rip through any snow, even deep without any problems. I saw these as a possibility for the Stang if I dont go with the Blizzaks or V6 wheels:

These look about the same tread pattern as my blizzaks.
So v6 wheels will fit on GT's?

Dunlop M3's. I have them on my tbird, it's unstoppable in the snow but I don't get that squishy soft sidewall like most snow tires.

Yeah, my blizzaks had the rolly sidewall. Probably good for snow though. Just didnt handle as well on the dry. Still drove nice, it just didnt handle AS well.
