Default Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50

Interested in these tires and was wondering how many people here are running these in the winter. My main concern is that they are too much of a winter tire and will wear extremely quickly when not on snow or ice and also that they will not be driveable on the highway because of stability. Anyone with these wanna chime in?

Well, I had them on 2 different cars, and I must say they are the best winter tires I have had. I first used them on an SUV and they did a great job. I also bought a set for my Toyota Celica (my everyday car), and they did an awesome job for 4 whole winters. Some people say they wear real fast when you run them on snow-less or ice-less surfaces. I beg to differ. And now that I picked X-Ice Michelin for my Celica after my Blizzaks worn out, I have to say I really miss my Blizzaks. Next time I have to buy winter tires, let me tell you they will be Blizzaks.

How did they preform on dry pavement with cornering and on the highway?

All modern ice/snow tires wear out much quicker because they are made of softer rubber which helps them stick to ice.

I put mine on as late as I can and take them off as early as i can as well.

I worked for Firestone/Bridgestone and let me tell you, Blizzaks are amazing winter tires. I don't know how they'll work in a Mustang, though. They do wear fast, but they are unstoppable in snow/ice.

What about dry pavement how many miles can I get out of them? I probably only drive 3000 miles in the winter. Also how do they handle at high speed (60+)?

They are Q rated I think and are rated at 100 MPH. They'll be fine around there. My brother had them on his 626 and he drove on the highway everyday to go to work and he was on the highway doing 60 - 70 MPH with no problems. Those tires brand new lasted him about 13 months spread over 3 winters.
