you have tremec. And the stops are for 1st,2nd ,third and 4th. 2 stops for every gear. do what you want but i did. I first put the hifter with no stopd but i didn't like the stops in the tremec. so i added the ones with the shifter. a lot more stable after that.
Just reinstalled mine. Feels a lot tighter. Go with what this guy said ^^^

so you guys are not answering what i am saying. do you put the shifter in 1st or 3d to adjust the front stop and 2nd or 4th to adjust the back stop. there is only two stops on teh shifter. i went with the MGW with the orange handle.

Well the directions for my Steeda Tri-Ax said put it in 2nd gear and set the bottom stop-bolt. Then put it in 3rd to set the top stop-bolt. I'm not sure if thats whats up but I did it like that and my shifter is very tight. As soon as it goes into gear it stops, not slack, very very little backplay. Feels better, not sloppy like without the bolts.

antually you wanna test out all the gears to set the stop. I set mine to the first and second, since i shift the hardest in those gears.

Call mgw themselves... I talked to them when I installed mine on the 04 when I had it. He said it can cause more damage with them, and that he and Tremec recommends NOT to use them. I wouldn't use them.

The mgw has real complete instructions. Just follow the directions and you`ll be fine.
