im often confused when people say hold out for the cobra, because another gt is modied, chances are it has been beatn but you can clearly see in this add to handle the power and beating so who really cares, and second people out there really think 90% of the 03/04's cobra's havent been beat on, i mean honestly ppl have to be on crack to think they spend 22-28k on the car then throw 7k in mods into it and not beat on it, i cant recall how many streetfire vidoes ive seen w/ cobra's just being desimated and they love it for it because the car can handle the god damn power, so buy the gt, drive it like you stole it and thats that, because in the end a cobra will cost you a few thousand more and will be slower and youll have to dump another few thousand in to make it as fast as the GT you mentioned, so just buy it if you like it, its your money

Just have to keep in mind that aftermarket parts shouldn't add anywhere near this kind of value to that GT. Buying a modded GT would be just fine, but not one that's marked up $10k+ when it should be at Blue Book. If he wants a modded GT, it would be wise to not take this one and move on. Chances are he'll find another modded GT down the road with similar mods for Blue Book or close to it.

The car listed is a joke, and would be foolish for anyone to take it at that price.

The difference is that the GT in the add has been torn into and then built back up. It does have a ton of power, but how well was all that work done? Besides the fact that it is listed at a rediculous amount of money. Just like everyone else said, performance mods don't add value to your car. Usually they'll harm your car's value. A cobra comes from the factory with x amount of horsepower (obviously depending on year), and all aspects of the car are meant for that much power.

You have to think about resale price. If you buy that GT for close to the guy's asking price, you know you're gonna lose a ton of money if you ever had to sell the car again. If you buy a terminator, you spend more at first, but I guarantee you'll come closer to breaking even if you have to sell it.

I would pay $10,000 for that car because:

1. you don't know who did the work
2. probably been beat to ****
