I'm guessing you were looking at h-pipes in a magazine or whatever and you saw two. The regular h-pipe and a shorty h-pipe. The shortys are for people with long tube headers. The stock exhaust manifolds only go down so far, then end right at the block, same do shorty headers. The regular hpipe extends up to meet the manifold. Long tube headers extend all the way down and back a little underneth the car. Then there is no need for the hpipe to meet the headers up next to the block. Hense it is cut shorter to bolt onto the headers that extend underneth the car. This was prolly a confusing read lol. Hope it helps. If you put long tubes and a shorty hpipe on then it would sound awsome, but its expensive for the headers.

a shorty h-pipe is made for a car with long-tube headers....so it will not work on your car if you have stock manifolds or shorty headers
