Default Best Exhaust -- Cost no issue...

Just got a flawless 03 GT Convertible. I am new to the forums and have scoured just about every post for the last few weeks. This is an amazing source for obsessed owners.

Question:
Which manufacturer has the overall highest quality exhaust systems for a Mustang with bolt-on mods only. I am looking for a high quality stainless set-up, fairly loud but not obnoxious, with a deep rumble. I already have SLP long tube headers with a short x pipe and cats (installed by the proevious owner).

Cost is not an issue as I plan on handing this Mustang down to my kids.

Thanks

-- Rich

welcome to the boards...if money was no issue id go for the bassani stainless steel cat back. I love their sound. Are you running cats with your slp setup? There was an old video around (I think its gone now) of a mustang with slp long tubes, slp catted x and slp loudmouth II and it sounded awesome, thats another option...

Borla/bassani/SLP are generally said to be of the best quality. Regular Borla mufflers are very deep, and give off a great rumble, while Stingers are straight-through design and scream more. Both sound amazing at idle.. nice, deep rumbly blum blum blum. But, u might not like Stingers paired with ur current exhaust combo. If i were in your position, i would listen to whoever said finish it off with an SLP catback.. either Lm1 if u absoloutley want it to scream, or LMII which have a deeper tone. Either full SLP system will sound great.

And remember, if you choose slp the mufflers are interchangeable. If you get the IIs and theyre too quiet you can swap them out with Is and vice versa...
