Default Terminator 4.6DOHC HP

I was wondering about how much hp you can get from a 03-04 Terminator motor. Mods will be factory exhaust manifolds, cat removed stock H pipe, CAI, Tuner, smaller pulley, and a Snow Performance Methanol/Water injection (on top of the factory heat exchanger).

I am thinking about doing a swap because I want a better platform. I like the extra 1000 RPM's too.

Would it make more power than a 2V with a procharger at 10psi? (w/headers, offroad x, TB/plenum)

Price wise, after I sell my GT motor and tranny, I could get a Terminator 6spd combo for about what a procharger would run me. I think.

Lemme know what you think.

I saw your thread, found it rather vague and decided to answer a more detailed thread.

Remove cats on stock H-pipe? Cob job. I won't bother trying to estimate what little HP you free up on that stock piece of crap.

Tuner? Do you plan on a dyno tune or using a crappy canned tune?

Pulley? There is about 50 pulley combinations out there, please be more specific if you want any HP estimations.

Would it make more power than a procharger @ 10psi on a 2V? I sure hope so, otherwise I'm a complete tool for ever buying a Terminator.

Next time, be more specific and I bet plenty of people will be able to chime in with their estimations & opinions.

Thanks.

def yes, i will lay out some really crude numbers here, PI GT with a procharger running 10psi, id say about 400 RWHP. a full bult-on cobra, could easly be in the 460+ RWHP zone. dyno tune on the two cars. down side with the GT is you are maxed out at that number and kinda playing with death on the stock motor.

Detailed Question:

I have a 2000GT 5spd. With a CAI, 75mm TB/BBK Plenum, cats removed from stock H pipe, weld in flowmasters. FRPP Super King Cobra Clutch, Short Throw Shifter. (More suspension mods which have no effect here)
I am debating on whether or not to buy cams (650 w/springs), Heads ($1500), Pro-Charger($4500w/tune, injectors, pump, maf, ect.) for my 2v motor. (Just turned 93,000 today)

Or I could sell my 2V for say $2000 with t45 Tranny. And buy a 03-04 Cobra engine pull out for say $6500-$7000.
Plans would be to Twin Turbo the 4V in a year or two when I can come up with the additional 8K for the kit. (I could sell the Cobra charger for $750 - 1000??) Thats is why I would not get headers or H pipe, because the twin turbo kit comes with that. I would need a better cat-back.

Question #1: How much HP/TQ would I make if I were to use factory exhaust manifolds and my crappy non-catted mid pipe. With a CAI, a 2.8 Dia blower pulley, Dyno tune, Snow Perf water meth inj.?
Upon further research I say in the 460-480 RWHP range. Correct?

Question #2: How much more hp would it make over the above 2v (add headers and off road x) with the ProCharger at 10PSI (all fuel, injectors, ect solved)?
I say that would be around 420 - 460. Def. playing death with the motor (especially with mileage).

I looked into it some more today. I'm definitely going the 4V route when I free up some cash. Getting more power than the procharger, not blowing up the motor, and a 6 speed trans for the $4500 difference (the price of a procharger for my car) is a no brainer. Hell I should even do headers while the motor is out.

Question #3: Will a stock Cobra 6spd hold 480RWHP and however much torque goes with that, on slicks, on the strip, with a spec stage 2-3 clutch and short throw shifter, powershifting?

Thanks Stick Shifty, you hit the nail on the head.

why would you put a set of heads on a 2v motor with the stock bottom end?

I almost forgot.

With a rear seat delete, battery in trunk, UPR Upper and Lower Non adjustable rear control arms, Tubular Racecraft K member and control arms, tokico d spec springs, struts, shocks, upper and lower torque box reinforcements, MM panhard bar, Steeda sway bars, subframe connectors, 6pt cage, on 17x10.5 03 cobra rims with 325/45/17 M&H racemaster drag radials, what kind of times should I run taking into effect the track is prob no more than 100ft ASL (above sea level), 78 degrees farenheit, late evening, with 40% hummidity, and a 20% chance of rain the following day?

BS aside. What do you think it'll run?
