how long should it take the "average joe" following directions to install a CAI TB/Plenum with all the proper tools available?

I wouldn't even say that long, just read the directions over good and go at it, it's nothing but unbolting and bolting in the new.

it "should" take less than an hr but something unexpected always comes up(stuborn screw etc) but it should be an simple swap

Should be simple an hour or less. Just be sure to keep track of all your bolts and dont drop any in the engine bay. You could be fishing for bolts all night instead of installing your parts.

take your time...i was in a hurry to get my installed before the track closed and me and my friends kept putting things back on to fast that altered us being able to put something else on...we put it all together like 5 times...plus idk what its called but it needed a 8mm or 10mm deep socket and we didnt have it so it took us a little while to get it off...but if you take your time should only take about a hour maybe a little more..

Drink a couple beers during the install, the time it takes won't matter so much. Should be around an hour if you know what youre doing.
