Default Internals

Anyone know of any good tech articles I can read up on about replacing the internals of my '03 4.6L sohc? One of the places I keep finding to buy parts is from Sean Hyland. Theres a complete 4.6L Rotating Assembly and the same kit in a Stroker Version. I do know what it is meant by the stroker kit. I had a stroker setup in a outlaw shifter kart class I use to race in. Is the stroker worth the extra 500 and is there any disadvantages or things to be weary of? I am keeping this car my DD, but I figure beefing parts up shouldn't hurt much. Anyone know if Sean Hyland is reputable?

And anyone know if flat toped or dished performe better, in general, for these motors?

SHM is a good shop BUT their customer service really sucks!!! I won't do business with them anymore...once they get your money they forget about you until its convenient for them to remember.

A much better shop and former employees of SHM are the guys at www.vtengines.com

If its a DD then Flat top pistons aren't what you want since that will boost your compression over 11/1 and require race fuel....
stick with the stock 17cc dished pistons if you rebuild as thats a perfect CR for NA and Boosted applications on 4.6's.
