a pre-programmed tune is ~okay for a stock car, a dyno tune is the best way to get the most RELIABLE power out of your car as they use an air/fuel meter to make sure everything your engine computer is doing is kosher. They program a tune custom tailored to YOUR car with your mods... worth every penny and you get peace of mind. As far as nitrous... It is very effective and safe if used PROPERLY and with proper fuel delivery. Again, this is where the dyno tune comes in. Small shot of nitrous (cheapest horsepower per $), gears (best bang for buck), dyno tune (essential if you want more HP, nitrous or not) , other usual bolt ons and you're good to go. Hope this helps,

Steve

OK most people on this fourm say i want more power, they get n2o or some kind of forced induction.

The real way to go fast if thats what ur looking for is in SUSPENSION!!! Spend the money do the reasearch. Most of the guys u see here with blowers are stuck in the high 12's, with 350+ rwph.

A guy down the street from me has a 02 GT with just simple bolt ons, Full exhaust and 411 gears. But he has a full drag suspension and slicks. He ran a 12.8. And for all of you thinking there is something funny, no its not a freak just a a great complation of parts. So you can either bolt on a blower for 5k+ or a turbo setup for 7 to 10k+ and run the same times if you were N/A with a great drag suspension.

I totally agree with what your saying. If you want a full out car for the track, and the ocassional driving on the streets, you need a stout suspension. A guy I know who used to live around here, had a 99 GT with full suspension, including, shocks, struts, springs, u/l control arms, c/c plates, and some DR's. Matched this suspension setup with gears, exhaust, and intake, he was runnin low low 12's in the 1/4.
