So...whats quicker?

RE: So...whats quicker?
My '99 Automatic CONVERTIBLE that weighs 3500#, no driver and a half tank of gas. Totally stock it was good for a 14.42 and 96 and now it has done a 13.95 at 102. Street tires are hurting the et which would drop to a 13.75 most likely. The extra power the mods added hurt the 60' time by a tenth. Each tenth of the 60' is good for .2 off the 1/4. Mark

RE: So...whats quicker?
14.2 in a stock pi auto ALL DAY, with good conditions. great conditions may lead to a 14.0-14.1, weight reduction and high 13's.
as far as the non-pi, its a high-mid 14 at its best, 5spd.

99-04 PI automatic - 14.3-14.5 stock, all day, everyday
96-98 non-pi manual - 14.8 with a great driver, 15.0-15.2 with average driver
PI FTW, rather it be auto or manual

I have taken a few NPI GT's myself in my automatic PI GT.

an NPI vert auto is game for a split port 6er, the PI should have no problem taking it, even if its a vert 4R70 vs a coupe 5 speed

i can probably say the 5spd is faster, anyone who can drive a stick would launch better anyday..

dude, out of the hole the stick will be better and prob will give you 1 car, if that over the PI, but after that, the NPI is going to get WALKED.
DOES NOT MATTER HOW GOOD THE STICK DRIVER IS, AUTO PI KICKS 5SPD NPI *** ANYDAY.
sorry about the caps, but it was needed to state the truth.
