Stock for stock, I would say PI ftw. I will also say that the mentality of lots of PI owners regarding the nonPI makes it very easy to hustle them. I have yet to run into a N/A GT that I couldnt at least run w/ or beat N/A. I realize that I am modded and that faster cars DO exist but many just look at my car and laugh about the nonPI heads. A good driver is a great help. Just something to think about.

Some kid at my college thinks his dodge stratus r/t will walk all over my gt cuz he has a manual and i have auto. HE laughed when he found out it was auto and said i have no chance.

I have seen a completely stock automatic 2000 GT run a 14 flat. I'd say the automatic PI is faster (thats stock on stock).

Even with your 3.73s, you are still probably just outdriving people.

A all stock 5spd should be beating you with a good driver. Headers/midpipe on a NPI car do very little. He still has an easy 15 or so WHP on you (if not alot more).

Agreed. A good driver can do a lot either way. I dynoed 209 to the wheels on a 100 degree day. I believe most stock PIs will do about 235ish.(I am not positive). While that gives them the definite advantage, it is nothing that a bad launch/really good driver cant fix. I was just pointing out that it IS possible to beat a PI stang w/ a nonPI stang. stock for stock, not really much of a contest though.

I hate to sound like a newb, but what does PI stand for? I know it's the '99-'04 engine but not sure what the letters mean. Thanks
