Default 5.4 vs. 4.6 header install

i just wanted to know it anyone had experience with or knew how similar the install is in difficulty. are they pretty much the same or is one harder? i would imagine that the 4.6 would be harder since it is in a smaller engine compartment, but hey i don't know. the reason i ask is that my parents friend just got headers installed on his 05 or 06 f-150 and all they charged was 280 bucks for a 7 hour install and that was full exhaust except he kept his flows in and just replaced the pipes with 2.5 inch.

If you go on mustang tuning (i think its that one) they give you instructions to install. 4.6 mustang is like the hardest header to install, and if you get l/t you will have the trani isssue. But it should be able to be done way inside of 7hrs. You actually have to jack the motor up to get em on. Lowest price i could find was 1200 so go for it.

so are you saying that the 4.6 would be a harder intall than the 5.4. is this right, there is no problem with the tranny for the intall but if i ever wanted to pull the tranny then the headers have to come out right?

depends on the headers. I know i've read that with mac headers you can maneuver the tranny out without removing them.
