My tranny has been on its way out for a long time. I put a king cobra clutch in last year in hopes of fixing some of it. Not really powershifting ruined it. Add about 100 ft lb's of torque more than its rated to handle and yeah.... it hates me.


So I took my first couple runs, at this ****ty track (tristate), my normal track was closed due to weather. There was literally little puddles of water where you lauch lol. My normal high 1.8/low 1.9 60's turned into high 2.1's, even a high 2.2 [:-] Eventually the water cleared out after enough runs. (no joke there was less than 30 cars) But they decided to spray the sticky stuff down so finally it would stick a little. I ripped off a 1.88 and missed second cause i have no more syncros in 2nd, it just bounces off pretty much.

But this is where it really happend... went up to do another burnout... started then i heard this god aweful noise, never heard it before. blabaababla coming from the tranny. I backed out of the staging lanes and drove it around seemed to be ok, good pedal pressure. Get back in do a burnout everythigns fine. Launch again 1.79 60' [:-] but i heard the noise was there again... shifted into second and it did it real bad and started shaking i let off on the run.

Needless to say at high rpms the tranny sometimes is popping out of gear. I took it for a test run this morning. Its ok for DD, but as far as racing goes its ****ed. [&:] Need some money so i can get another clutch/shifter for the t3650 i have in my basement.

Not really sure what this noise was. I've never heard anything close to it before. Hopefully it was the gears grinding themselves to pieces. It was almost sounded like when you get a big eraser and drag it along something when it bounces it makes a bubububu noise. If anyone knows what exactly that is let me know... could be the clutch not too sure.

lol when I blew my clutch to pieces... it had a whistling kinda noise =P
