largest tire size

I have an 01 GT and it still has the stock 17's. i want to upgrade the rear tires how wide can i go? i was thinking 265 or 275 maybe.

If you upgrade the wheels you can go as wide as 275/40 up front on 9" wide rims and on 10.5" rims in the rear you can go to 315/35's. 255's are the widest recommended for that width, 8". Mark

Stock rims can hold 275 max.
