96 gt- BAD gas mileage, help please
Hello, I have a 96 GT convertible with minor mods (K&N inktake). I am only getting about 14.5 mpg and driving it very lightly. This seems too low to me. I just got the car, what should this car get and what can be causing bad gas mileage other than a lead foot? Thanks,
JM

well obviously u need a tune up. spark plugs. spark plug wires. distibutor. oil change.
when u buy an older car like that change everything u can to new again if you want to bring it back to new car performance. also you can change your fuel filter and run some fuel injector cleaner on a few fill ups.
you can also buy some cheep oil , drain your engine dry put the cheep stuff in and run for about 5 - 10 mins and then drain that and put the oil you want to run for a lil while.
also get a new oil filter.
ohhh and important for gas milage change your o2 sensors.
