Default hmm..Inspection

Got my off road x-pipes in last night. I was just thinking about inspection though. I'm getting mine renewed today, so I'll be good for a year. I've never seen the guys look under the car, but I am afraid that if its too loud when they start it or drive it, that he'll look. I had a 4banger with a can muffler that had a removeable silencer once. Is there a type of silence I can insert in my tips to help quite her down a little bit? Just for the inspection?

yeah if they look under it they won't let you pass... if it's a good mechanic he'll be able to tell you don't have cats by A: Sound and B:the smell of not having catalytic converters

My uncle used to let me slide through inspection at his shop...then he got his inspection license revoked for letting me slide through. He reccomended another "friendly" place of business but I want to be sure that I have to use them...

What I'm trying to avoid is tint removal. I've got tint on my front windows; which is illegal in NJ. I was wondering if I drove through inspection with my windows down, do you think they'd put them up to check? Its on all the rear windows so they would have a reason to check. If I go through and get caught, would they make me rip it off right there? I really don't want to have to take it off and get new tint.

It's such a stupid law, I mean if I have to take it off I'm just putting it right back on after. But what I want to know is, would they roll up my windows when I go through?

Just like my cat. concern, its luck of the draw on whose inspecting it. I know that in Texas (where I am) law enforcement can peel your tint off on the side of the road if they pull you over for a traffic violation and deem its too dark.
