car shuttering

about a month ago my friend and I installed my prochamber and 75mm tb..about 4 hours after the install i was cruzin with some mustang guys and when i eased in on the pedal the car shutterd and felt like it was gonna stall out (im an auto)...then every once an a while it would do it again...now it does it on a daily basis but only when i ease in on the pedal going around 25 to 30mph...my mechanic friend says its either the computer getting confused cuz so much air is getting into the engine and it doesnt know what to do or maybe my cats are stopped up a litte...now when i give the car hell it acts like a champ. do yall think my friend is right??? or what else could it be? im getting my tuner soon so you think that will help??? thanks in advance
