dont wanna hijack the thread...but how much stress do control arms put on the rear end? if youre putting ~350 to the wheels...should you build the rear end with splines/axles or would it be pretty safe to run u/l control arms on a stock rear end?

i have been doing this forever... even with dr's on the car... i have a eaton 31 spl lsd with axles sitting in my room though.

How can you argue that Tires are not the first, most basic, and initially most effective traction mod?

Although this sounds logical, if you get too sticky 'a' tire, and soft-*** suspension, you could be buying new axles sooner than control arms...

So, of everything I have learned here in the past few months, I haven't learned much about how to get the power to the ground. What is everyone's views of what the basic and first modifications should be made to make the tires stick to the road?
