MGW vs Steeda Tri-ax

RE: MGW vs Steeda Tri-ax
i had a tri axe in my gt and i loved it, then i decided to get a mgw for the mach and nothing can compare to the mgw. i was nervous when i shifted if i was in gear or not with the mgw, but like anything else, it becomes second nature and its just perfect. its so much shorter, smoother, and quiter than the tri axe.

RE: MGW vs Steeda Tri-ax
I guess I'm a bit different that most people here.
I've used the Tri-Ax for roughly 2 years now. It has worked out great, it's short, and it has strong centering springs which make it easy to get into third.
I'm in the market for a new shifter now.
What I WANT out of a shifter is more smoothness/precision WITHOUT additional centering springs or excessive shortness. Honestly, I can shift a stocker fast enough to get a decent E.T. with my car, I just liked the solid precision I got with the Tri-Ax. I personally don't want to be fighting my shifter to get into First because of rediculous centering springs.
Would I possibly be better off with a Pro-5.0 or Hurst than an MGW or Tri-Ax?
I want that mechanical, precise, smooth, locked in feel without excessive centering springs that make going into reverse or first seem like a chore.
ALSO, sometimes I have trouble getting into some gears, especially when it's cold. I'm not sure if it's got more to do with my shifter or my tranny though.
