Default Clearcoat peeling off of new Deep Dish Black Bullitt wheels

I bought a brand new set of wheels and tires from Mustangtuning.com ( Black Deep Dish Bullitts) and have had no luck with them. The clear coat starts flaking off of the polished lip on the wheels after about a month of use. The support tech told me that I need to be polishing them or they will do that. I have never heard of having to do that to a new set of wheels, has anyone else purchased any from them or having that problem? They act like it is my fault and that I am doing something wrong and I am the only one in the entire world having that problem, IF so what am I doing wrong. Should I not ever wash them and just let them stay filthy dirty or what??

Po'd customer of mustangtuning.com

I'd continue calling them and insisting that you get a new rim. I just bought Black DD Bullitts and noticed they have a 1 year finish warranty. Yours should have the same warranty and have MT replace them, including the shipping charges. I think they are feeding you BS about having to polish the rims, I've never heard anything like that and if that was the case, I wouldn't have bought my rims. Good luck!!!

I did not get mine from MT, I got mine through Discount Tire (Americas Tire Company). Apparently they are from the same manufacturer that supplies MT. I've had my rims for about 1 month so I haven't noticed any problems with them yet, and hopefully never will.

I got my chin spoiler from a friend of mine that got a Roush bumper.
