Default RE: Copper VS Platinum plugs

Hoter spark can give a better burn, more power. However this is getting old. I like the TR55's.
Guys say CAI's don't work. My JLT CAI was one of my best mods, .15 and .9mph. 4.10's took off a tenth. I know with more mods that they helped more. 75mm BBK TB/Plenum did little to nothing.
One mod that not many know about is the STEEDA TIMING ADJUSTER. If a guy cannot afford a CUSTOM tune ar has not completed his/her mods then the djuster is a great mod. Our 4.6 motors have 10&* base timing and is not adjustable as they come from the factory but Steeda came up with a way to change that. I had a Predator tuner as it came with my gearset as part of a package. it's canned tune is worthless. It can add 10% between 2K and to 8K. 10% of the stock timing and only at WOT. The stock computer calls for 10* at 4k rpm and Brenspeed sets his 93 octane tunes at 23*! At 5K stock system calls for 16*. Brent sets his at 24*. He had me ADD 6* ON TOP of the Predator tune and with 93 octane, no knock. Because the Predator adds 1* at 4K and 1.6* at 5K, not much huh? Brent said I could even go 8* if I wanted. I now have a custom tune from Brent because my mods are done and I will sell the adjuster for $85. shipped but can't sell it because the community is ignorant of what 6* at ALL rpm's can do. Add power, enhance part throttle driving and add 2-3mpg.
Long headers are often a big deal. They add 0-5HP, dyno proven. A fellow member told me he got a set of long tube BBK's and his brother has a dyno and they added ZERO HP. I had a vendor tell me not to get headers unless they were my LAST mod and I wanted to squeeze the last HP I possibly could. Now most of you probably think that the headers add HP when I know they don't, not anymore than my NGK plugs or maybe less.
Have an open mind and thouroughly search the mods you buy. Same for exhaust systems in general. The stock system has 2.25" mandrel bent tubing and a 2.5" system may add 10HP. Welding in a set of your favorite mufflers would save you several hundred bucks and cost you about .05 in the 1/4 unless you are running open headers! LOL
My Mustang is a very nice car. Convertible and the automatic takes away some of the pain I get driving due to several back surgeries. My previous car was a AWD TURBO TALON tyhat ran an 11.68 at 119 and had a couple traps at 122 and believe me we knew spark plugs made power.
I truly appreciate the help you guys have given me this past summer. It was a bit dissapointing to find out Ford did a good job designing the Mustangs 4.6 to where modding it did not bring a good return on the dollar but I will get it there. Started at 14.42 @ 96 and $2430. later it has done a 13.95 at 102. It would do better but even the 315/35's out back will burn unless the launch is most gentle without any kind of power launch a waste. Slicks and a 3K stall converter should yield a 13.5, not bad for 281N.A. motor! Thanks, mark

ORIGINAL: exLT1to01GTso whats the best spark plug/wire combo?
If you have a vehicle using wires I have found the NGK BLUES and the proper NGK plug to be the best and my Talon proved that at 8500+ rpm's. Mark

dude sweet99 wtf r u talking about?

ok so headers add no hp and a cold air intake takes off more than a tenth???? get ****in real and quit giving retarded advice.... see above post about conditions. did u bolt the cold air on at the track in between runs. was the wind the exact same, exact same temperature, did ur auto shift the exact same at the perfect rpm everytime? I've had a mph differ by about 1-1.5 mph just over the course of one evening drag racing because of temperature/track conditions.....and if you have spent $2430 to go 13.9 then you are obviously not spending your money in the right place and should not be giving advice on what mods are good and what isnt, and if you go to brenspeed you are in the midwest region and have no difference in altitude than I.

yes and cool running copper plugs.... we have COP... coil on plug. each plug has an individual coil sitting above it powering it

Perhaps you should let someone hold your money for you. I had about $2600 in my '99 Gt, and my **** went 11's.
