Default Chambers vs. baffles

I've been reading the arguments on X pipes vs. H pipes. Torque curve changes, etc. One thing I've read was that you should use a baffled muffler on an X pipe system. I want to stick with an H pipe on my car. Is baffled or chambered going to make any difference? I want to keep my low end grunt. Not really concerned about raising high end HP.

Default RE: Chambers vs. baffles

Baffle/chamber both sound the same to me. I have an X pipe and a straight thru and I have way more bottom end than I need. Totally uncontrollable if i just nail the throttle with the auto tranny. Revs to 6000 and short shifts into 2nd!
