whats the difference between the 1996-1998 305hp cobra engine and between the 1999-2001 320hp cobra engine?

i think 96-98 had different rear axle or w/e...and the 99-01 had IRS...plus the compression ratio is better on the 96-98

which means u can run higher boost on the 96-98..plus the 96-98 were better built overall i heard.

if they had more compression and better built, then why do they have 15 less horsepower?

anybody know what the 15hp difference is from if they use the same engine setup?

one friggin word...Teksid...the 96-98 had engines made by the same company that made Ferrari engines and the blocks can hold a lot more power (if someones got that sean hyland book it says the numbers etc) but the 99+ are a little weaker and hold up to 600 made at the winsor plant (i think)

The numbers are higher because ford squeezed a little with the tumble ports and the intake, as well as some smaller upgrades here and there...nothing too concerning
