Hey
I have 96 gt 5sp i got the clutch replace in june but i just went to the mechnic last week and he said that it was half worn out. When i drive i dont ride the clutch or do burnouts or anyting. What would casue it to wear out so fast. i never rev it up and pop the clutch either
thanks

are you is traffic alot? What rpm do you let the clutch out at when starting out. im usually at 1200ish. Also when just driving around with your foot resting on the clutch could do it. Did you get the flywheel resurfaced? All of these things could be a factor.

He's just trying to make a sale. You can't tell when their 1/2 way gone, no way to inspect it. Unless you glazed it over real good by riding the clutch or something like that, you'll know when you need a new one, it will start slipping and chattering, good luck.
