Default GT(1999-2004) fit Mach?

Okay, I believe I've been thinking correctly about this but if I were to shop for exhaust parts for my Mach would I basically be looking at GT exhausts? A lot of times ill notice it say fits GTs/MACH 1s and other times they just say GT. Just curious thanks!

EDIT: Also, why are Off-road mid pipes called off-road mid pipes. Is that for like track use? Or like going out into the country hittin up the mud like an ATV

You are correct, and when I was searching for the exhaust for my Mach, they were all listed for both cars (Mach1/GT) I think they are pretty much the same setup, just as the Predator is the same for the 99-04 GT and the 03-04 Mach1.

Off-road midpipe, would be an x-pipe or h-pipe without cats. And yes in some states its illegal, but who cares, 90% of the people with Stangs and exhaust have off-road midpipes. I've had my off-road h-pipe for about a year and have been pulled over for speeding a few times, but they dont check your car for no cats. The reason some exhausts are for Mach 1's, GT's, and Cobra's is because the setup underneath the car is different and the GT's exhaust dont fit the Mach 1 or Cobra and vice versa. Just get the one for your car and if you want an off-road midpipe than get it, its louder and gives a few extra hp.

I know that o/r mids have no cats but im just wondering why there called o/r or what are the purposes of them? Are they specifically made for the track hense "off-road" or "not street legal" usually means its ment for the track and just the track.

Off-road does basically mean "track" only, but like I said, about 90% of the people with Stangs and exhaust have an off-road midpipe.

well man i think the real reason for this post is to see if the mach exhaust is the same as the gt...the answer is yes. the onl difference is the ehaust manifolds or headers. The midpipes and catbacks are the same. The only reason the cobra is different for the catback is because of the IRS
