What gears do you have now? My 96GT has 273's... I'm looking to jump to a 3.73 or a 3.55...

Simethin modest, and very freeway friendly.

A lot of people will say to get 4.10's, but a fair amount of those people are new edge's that started out with 3.27's. We've got 2.73's to start with, so going from that to 3.73's is a pretty huge jump. I've got 4.10's in my 98, but I don't do much freeway driving. If you do a lot of freeway cruising, IMO get 3.73's.

4.10s, even though they start off lower, they are the same modular happy revving motor, go with 4.10s or you will shoot yoursef

All 96-98's came with 2.73's base. In '97 and '98 3.27's were factory options.

Edit: I like my 4.10's too, it's just that if I did more highway driving, I wouldn't want that much gear.

I put 4.10's on and it worked out great. I do mostly in town driving but I made a few 4 hr trips and my mileage didn't suffer that bad actually. Just my .02

3.08s were optional as well, they were also on the el strippo version of the auto GTs in 99 and 00
