Well I got my car back from the shop today (very high rep. shop) Exhaust sounds great. So when I go in there My problem was with 5th gear grinding. He said he'd take a look at it and said it was the tob and auto-adjuster was broken. Well I get it back go into 5th the first time...it grinds. Then I put about 40 miles on it just cruising ( was in town at this time doin 40 mph average). ANd I wanted to feel the difference with the o/r pipe and catback, well get on it go into 2nd...slightly grinds which it never did that before. I put a new tob, adjustable cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster, new mid-pipe and catback. Now im lost its only been one day...so should i drive it a little more see if it improve and then after school go to the shop. I mean my car only has 120k miles on, I never powershifted in it. I had some fun in it, but didnt beat the crap out of it. Please someone give me some advice.

Dude, @120,000 miles it's VERY likely your trans is flat out shot. They did the TOB because that MAY have been the problem and it's a hell of alot cheaper than replacing the trans.

That's just how things work bro, you do the easiest fix first. Maybe if they like you they will give you a discount on the trans!!!
