Default Brake light coming on???

Just curious if anyone could help. Today while out cruising my break light would flash on and off. Mainly when i was applying pressure. My car only has 8000miles. Are the breaks gone already?? There seems to be a little bit of slop when applying the breaks but they seem strong as far as stopping. My car is an 02 gt 5spd If they're gone what pads do you suggest as a good upgrade

you talking the BRAKE when you got the emergency brake on in the dash? (if it is that light and not the actual tail light brake lights) did u forget to let the emergency brake all the way down...other than that the mechanism that distinguishes if the emergency brake is on is nothing more than a spring loaded pin that breaks the circuit to the light...in its position it uses the momentum of braking and can turn itself on...happens with me under semi/real hard braking, nothing serious as far as i know

Check your brake fluid.

Not sure that would be the problem. Probably just something loose somewhere. If you have 8,000 miles is it still under warranty? Take it back to ford and ask them to correct it.
