Default Evil Spirits in my engine?

I was driving home from Columbia last night which is 30 miles away and developed an interesting problem. I was going up a hill and as I gave it more throttle it started cutting out and choking. I was going 70 but if I tried to accelerate to 80 or above it choked out.
When I got into town I had to go through the lights so I tried to replicate my problem. I accelerated from the light but if I gave it more than a little throttle it did the same choking. I was thinking a clogged fuel filter or a fouled plug. However I got up this morning and took the pony for a ride and everything was just fine. She ripped through the gears and didnt choke on the way to 120. Now I am wondering what the hell happened last night.

Any ideas guys?

My sister inlaw had the same problem. I would change the fuel filter.

I was thinking maybe the fuel pump as I had a cougar that once it got warm driving it would not start because the fuel pump got too hot.

Changed the plugs about 4 months ago but did not change wires or coil packs.
