Default Drag Radial

I know it's not recommended, but can I fit any drag radial on the stock bulllitts 17x8? I really don't wanna hafta buy another set of rims-I've already got three. I'm looking to get a 275/40/17 on there-not sure if its a good idea though. Thanks

From what I've heard that's the biggest tire you can run safely on the stock size wheels. I know for a fact a few people on here have done or currently have that setup. I remember 2000gt4.6 had nitto 555r 275's on his stock wheels. And maybe still does? lol

IM pretty sure its 285's that the dr's come in.. 255's, 285's, 315's, and 345's... they go in incriments of 30.. I could be wrong, but I have never seen them in sizes inbetween for 17 or 18's.

I had 285/40/17 on my stock 17x8's on my cobra. Lots of sidewall flex on them, but they work fine.

I would get a set of those Racing Wheels from Summit or Jeggs. They are a good price and they are light to. Not that expensive.

I run a 275/40/17 BFG drag radial. It is on a 9 inch rim but they will work ok on a 8 inch.
