Default Pulleys and Bearings

I have a 2003 4.6 stock GT. When my car is idle I notice what sounds like a bad set of bearings coming from the front of my engine and I'm certain it's from a pulley - I just can't tell which pulley it's coming from. I've read so far that the idler pulley is a common problem. Would this be accurate?

Also, I'm a Do-It-Yourselfer but with very limited car engine experience. I have a couple of questions:

I'm guessing the tensioner is what I would need to adjust to remove the serpentine belt. How do I remove the serpentine belt?

If I remvoe the belt, to replace a pulley, do I risk knocking anything out of timing?

Thanks in advance.

Likely a bad tensioner pulley if this only happened after a belt change and you have the correct belt on now.

Had this happen on wifes vehicle.

No belt change. It was noticed during an oil change.
BTW, why would changing the belt cause the tensioner pully to fail?
