all you need to know is here. do an offroad x, tune, and gears. it will knock more than a 1/2 second off the 1/4mi and give it a big boost from a roll.

for a manual get 4:30 gears, for auto get 4:10's, stay away from the mach 1 throttle boddies there just a big pita. Full exhaust including longtubes would be nice, also an intake spacer and a cai.

Why would you lose MPG with exhaust work?

You'll be helping the engine run more efficiently. Long Tube headers will help scavenge as much unburnt fuel as possible.

Im having touble understanding, whats the difference between x pipe and h pipe? I know the obvious shape difference but I mean performance and sound? I would also like to stay away from gears for now. I like the long highway gears I have currently, maybe after everything else gears could be a thought but not yet. Whats wrong with putting on a throttle body?

If you can afford it, do full bolt ons (Exhaust including headers, intake, throttle body/plenum,pullies, tuner). These will help increase your gas milage, give more power, and a deep muscle car sound that will give you a tendency to have a heavy foot.

Antiv6 said stay away from TB's, so Im unsure of that. I heard underdrive pulleys cause oil pump failure on Machs, plus I listen to my music sorta loud and dont want to straing the battery. As for the heavy foot thing, thats a chance Im gonna have to take lol.

people also hate udp's on mach's, ive read many threads about engines getting ruined. heres some of the t/b threads, some people get them to work but for like 400$ its not worth the risk and small gains.
here there is also an accufab t/b but it has problems also ive heard

Take his advice for it then. He has a Mach so he definitely knows more about them than I do. However, I think it's safe to advise you to get full exhaust. You'll notice some nice power gains from the exhaust.

How about a throttle body spacer, since not replacing throttle body?

LTs, midpipe, catback, 4.30s, short throw shifter, intake, a custom tune and some DRs are perfect for the Mach. I've driven a mach with the mods listed before and after the 4.30s (4.10s before). The 4.30s made a HUGE difference...especially because of the high revving 4v motor.
