Non biased opinion....
I am thinking about buying a new car and I have a few choices of course..... Mustang gt..... Or a smaller 4 cylinder car like a wrx (all wheel drive) I know they are about the same speed 0-60 and what not but id rather get a v8 and make some noise with it..... But my question is.... How much better turning, cornering and handleing would I get with a all wheel drive car, as opposed to the mustang (rear wheel drive)??? I know its bigger but how much is this gonna effect turns and such or is rear wheel drive better for turns any how........

Well, you can have a car that looks like a sports car or a shopping cart.
Stock for stock, Mustangs handle like trash compared to a WRX.
Your car can either sound like a mean V8 or a pissed off beehive.
Do a couple suspension upgrades and you'll be able to outhandle them all day.

i used to drive a 4 cylinder car, a 98 prelude and it handles alot better than my GT but i have found i love the sound of the V8 over the I4 and straight line power of the GT is alot better than the preludes. Corners are for the girls that cant handle the quater mile any way

It really all just depends on what you are looking for in the car. If you want a car that can go fast in a straight line get the GT. If you want a car than can turn corners fast get the WRX. GT's were made for modding for dragging, WRX's were made for modding for handling. Obviously you can do vice versa but GT's were meant to go staright WRX's were meant to turn. I would take the GT just because on the street you aint gonna race somebody taking turns your just gonna race them from light to light plus IMO the mustang looks 10x better then the WRX.

For the limits one approaches on the raod, or atleast should. You won't be at the cars limits. But you would notice better turn in and control.
An AWD car requires a little different approach to corning fast as opposed to a V8. All this question comes down to is what you really want. a 3season car or a 4season car. AWD or RWD.
As far as corners are for girls[>:]. I must be a girl because I would rahter be turning left and right then driving straight all the time! Much more fun! Don't forget anyone can drive in a straight line quickly, it takes a skilled driver to drive in corners quickly

If you dont buy a 05 mustang or a Mach or better then i would purchase a WRX. Reason is better gas mileage ,better handeling and plenty of performance. Its not that i dont like GTs its just you see them everywhere. And when it snows this winter have fun with ur allwheel drive.[8D] Also as soon as you own a mustang its all over for anyother car from then on.
