Sound difference of a Catback vs mufflers
Is there really THAT big of a difference of having a whole catback system rather than just mufflers?
I was just wondering because if it's cheaper to say just buy a set of mufflers and keep the stock piping OR have a shop do a new piping, then id rather do that then spend $400+

You get improved flow with aftermarket pipes compared to stock....Ford is concerned with how things fit as apposed to all out performance so bends aren't always as smooth as should be. The stock Mustang pipes aren't that bad though so if you are on a budget and find some nice mufflers cheap then weld them in.

personally, i think cat backs on mustangs give a bit more of a rice tone, just a lower pitch, but i've only heard the bassani on the mustang.
personally i like bbk O/R X with mac40 2 chambers
