RE: gears
I just had mine done yesterday....paid $200 cash in Toronto plus $18 for fluid...I watched the guy do it and to get the old gear out is a bi$%h...he had to pound it and pound it because on the '99 and up they get small amount of rust on the shaft and it makes it EXTREMELY difficult......never do it yourself unless you have before on much easier equipement....these guys have done hundreds of Mustangs and say that these are the worst...also you have to take off the breaks, ABS sensors which may break as they are plastic...don't do it man.
OH and by the way I wish I got 4.30's but the 4.10's are mint....I immediately raced by buddy's '88 Fox and it was a good race ( he used to slaughter me with his mods)

RE: gears
Right, don't try it youself. Very specialized install for mechanics that have experience in these things. Worth every penny to have it done right the first time. You can seriously mess up your entire rearend if you don't do the install perfectly. Wait until you raise the money and have it done professionally.
