same car - http://videos.streetfire.net/video/a...c41eb8acb7.htm

Sometimes certain engines are produced with a slightly higher compression ratio that can affect the performance. It also has A LOT to do with how the engine was broken in. Proper ring seal can totally change the characteristics of a stock engine. There are so many variables that could explain this type of performance.

The 'Vette is a C6 (6 liters model with 400 hp). It should run in the 12 s @ 110+ mph, I guess he couldn't drive. The Stang is mine and there an d I have nothing else than: Predator programmer, gear 4.10, h-pipe, cai (+ 1 hp) and slicks.

that shows no weight reduction and suspension, that would have to be one hell of a factory freak

It has a cam for one so no, he doesnt only have 225whp. Secondly, his trap speed is wayyyyyy tooo high to be that close to stock.

Even with weight reduction it wouldnt happen with that power listed. A mustang needs a min of 260 to break 12's and thats with weight reduction and suspension out the rear.

It's not possible. A near stock GT will never trap that high. Trap speed deals with hp. That alone proves he has more power mods than hes stating.

Well, he may only have the stock power but the car has to weigh next to nothing, there is just NO WAY 225 HP can move 3600 lbs down the 1/4 mile at 108 MPH... physics doesn't allow it.

Default RE: can it be?

I definatly heard a cam, wasn't sure on the first video WHICH car it was, (it looked like he ran another stang)... but i heard it also agst the Vette, and i know it wasn't that car... That's definatly cammed... A near stock GT can run in the 12's with slicks, it's possible... just not as fast as they went.

SX - I believe the time for a GT with those type mods... I really do. but the sound is the sound of a cammed gt, and there's no way he's going to run with that high of a trap with the weight of the GT. Another note, is that most stock or close to stock gt's running in the 12's cannot do it without a 4.30 gear, and most would need to have a 1.5xx 60" to get that done also
