Default Gears

Hey I'm wondering if anyone can help me decide what to get first on my 98 Cobra I just purchased. I want to throw 3.73 gears on there but I don't know if they will cause to much wheelspin at the rear. Would 3.55 be better? Also I was looking at a Bassani X pipe w/ 2 cats. If you think this is a good start let me know otherwise I am open to others opinions of what I should do first. Thanks.

I'd go with 4.10's or 4.30's ... 3.55's or 3.73's will make you wish you went with more... remember these arent 5.0's

Well your ride come stock with 3.27's so I would say go with a set of 4.10's or even some 3.90's. Wheel spin will always be a factor, you just need to upgrade your tires to some DR's and maybe do a little work to the rear suspension, like some u&l control arms to prevent wheen hop.

I wasn't crying. If you knew how many posts I moved in a day from Noobs, you'd say something too. But thanks for your $.02 anyway.

yea but u gotta consider if u go w/ 4.10's u'll loose alot of topend..I have 3.73's and love them I've still lost a good bit of topend I can tell when I race from a role...I still get good punch down low and have somewhat of a topend....but w/ 4.10's u can kiss that topend goodbye..I heard the redline in 4th at 100mph [:'(]

Your OBD has a top speed limit set at 150 unless you change it with an aftermarket programmer. You can still go that fast with 3:73 not sure about 4;10 but will be close. How often and why would you go that fast?
