Default tricks of the trade

how many of you have stuff that you do to your stang that helps keep it clean when doing matnance? for me i was sick and tired on my 4,6 when i had to change the oil. when i get to the oil filter and take it off. oil goes all over the rack and pinion. well this morning i had to change my oil in my stang, so i didnt feel like wipeing everything down so i just took the oil filter box riped it in half and loosed the oil filter and then stuck the half of a box up there to devert the oil kind of like a vally around the rack and pinion so oil wouldnt go all over it. i was surprized it worked. the mobil 1 m1210 box works great for this.

share your tricks for everyone, im sure everyone that changes his or her own oil in their stang gets pretty dam mad when they would take the filter off, well at least i know i was getting mad. so share up

yeah , taking the oil filter off sucks . I use 2 plastic grocery bag's (1 inside the other) to catch the oil . I've tried a few diff idea's but this work's best for me . they do make adapter's to position it vertically . everytime I changed my oil I say I'm gonna get one . still dont have one yet .

I used to change the oil myself, but ****ing hate jacking the car up and getting under there messing with that **** just to save myself 10 bucks. So I just pay the 10 bucks to have it done within 5 minutes.
