Well, JB Weld may be too aggressive..

The Blue should have worked.. I've used that on countless Flywheel bolts, clutch PP Bolts, rear diff. bolts, etc.. Anything that I work on that sees high torque, gets the Loc-Tite..

Did you use the old hardware?? It may have been stretched (think of your power here..).. I'm just throwing things out, since it's sort of unusual for a cam gear bolt to just back out like that..

Hey it could have been worse. A friend of mine accidentaly stuck his finger too close to a cam gear in his 10,000 rpm honda motor. And yes teh finger went bye bye.

You REALLY should have replaced those bolts. Everyone who's done cam swaps on modulars have told me that if the cam's your installing use torque-till-yield bolts you should replace them every time you back them off the cam. Yeah it's a few bucks out of your pocket, but it would have saved you money in the long run.

Sorry to hear the news though man. That really blows.

So do you just have to replace the bolt/valve cover it went threw? or did it mess up something else?
