ok im my 60 footers are horrible in my car so im considering getting some tires but i have no clue where to start ive heard of so many and how some are good and bad and how some will screw up your axle. i just want some affordable and maybe street legal drag tires i have a 98 cobra and im currently running a 14.4 with a horrible 2.3 60 footer and know tires would help a bunch at least thats what ive been told the car has the pickup as this past time at the track i was hitting 99mph and caught up to an STI so any help would be great any info on the type of tire yall recommend im some what new at this.

i went to mustangtuning.com and bought 2 spare rims for 100 bucks a piece. (17x9). then i went to summitracing.com and bought mickey thompson et streets drag radial. (275-40-17) for about 180 bucks a tire. and i have not broken and axle yet. you will be fine with those drag radials. i think they are the best you can get. i was pulling 2.2 60 ft and the tires brought it down to a 1.8 60 ft.

Thats a Slow STI if u ran a 14.4 and caught up to him....... but ive only heard good stuff about MT's.

well i didnt really catch up to him we were pretty much even the whole way down then i just barely got ahead of i mean barely maybe a foot
